If we have agreed that you will consult me at Wood End, then these are the directions:
My address is 27, Wood End, Keighley Road, Hebden Bridge, HX7 8HJ.
Three slight problems with finding me:
1. Wood
End is a section of Keighley Road, not a separate road.
2. If you
are driving or walking up Keighley Road, from Hebden Bridge, you will find that Wood End is a block of terraced houses, on
the lefthand side of Keighley Road, beginning a few yards past the Nutclough Tavern, which is on the right. The block (called
Wood End) is numbered out of sequence, so number 27 is actually the first house on the block, followed by
29, then 1, 3, 5, etc., all the way up to 25.
And:
3. If you are driving, and using satnav, as you drive up Keighley Road, and reach the traffic lights just before
Nutclough Tavern, your satnav is likely to tell you to turn left into Lees Road. Don't follow that direction,
as it will lead you to the back of my house, and there is no back door! Stay on Keighley Road, pass the Nutclough
Tavern. At this point the housing on the left is called 'Nutclough' - six or eight houses, ending with 49 Nutclough.
Then there is a little break in the housing, and when the housing begins again, the very first house is mine - 27 Wood End.
