If you are a student on a counselling or psychotherapy course, you could benefit from an academic support and coaching service - your own bespoke academic tutorial service.

Jim Byrne's Academic Support and Coaching Service

If you have read through some of my academic assignments on counselling and psychotherapy, on the ‘What is Counselling?'*** page, then you will realize that I have a highly developed level of knowledge and skill in the area of academic study of counselling and therapy subjects.

academic-tutorials.jpg Do you need some developmental feedback on your academic writing of professional certificate, diploma, first degree, master's degree or doctoral assignments?

Or help with relevant study skills?

Or an opportunity to talk through your ideas.

Or preparation of presentations; or support with managing the stress of doing presentations to peers; or handling exam nerves.

~~~
If you have any or all of these needs, or similar or related needs, then I can help you.
I offer an Academic Support and Coaching Service which is designed to respond to your specific needs with a bespoke solution.
My background
Jim-in-Harrogate-3.jpgI trained as a technical teacher in 1977, and spent twenty years working in adult and vocational education, rising to the level of Deputy Chief Executive of a highly creative educational charity; before diversifying into coaching, counselling and psychotherapy in 1998.  I have a Further Education Teacher's Cert, and I completed my MA in Education in 1994.
I immediately began to apply for places on PhD programs across the north of England.  This process went on for a number of years, and by 2001 I had submitted a highly developed doctoral research idea to the University of Leeds.***  However, because of staffing and funding problems, I began to study for a Diploma in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, with Rusland College, and this overlapped with moving to the University of Manchester to study for the Doctorate in Counselling in 2003, completing my doctoral thesis*** in 2008-2009.
What to do next?
If you are struggling with academic problems on a counselling or psychotherapy training or education program, then please contact me today to see how I could help you.
You can consult me by email, by telephone, or face to face.  The cost is similar to my counselling fees.
Sincerely,
Jim
