You can get counselling help from me, regardless of age, gender, race or physical ability.  It helps if you can think fairly clearly.

WHO ARE MY CLIENTS?

Counselling-relationship.jpgOver a period of more than thirteen years, I have helped in excess of 650 people, roughly 50:50 males to females; including dozens of couples; with a broad range of different kinds of issues and problems.

For examples:

Most of my clients tend to be between the ages of 30 and 60 years, but a smaller group is aged 17 to 75. I find I am most effective with the over 30s, because they are more willing to take responsibility for their lives, which is the first lesson that I teach. "Nobody's coming on a puffing white charger; so you'd better take responsibility for solving your own problems. Not in the sense that you necessarily caused all of your problems - though we do tend to reap what we sow - but in the sense that nobody else is going to be as motivated to solve our problems as we are. So let's get on with it".

That message is more difficult to hear if you are aged somewhere between 17 and 29 than it becomes after the age of 30, and it gets even easier thereafter to see that "If it's to be, it's up to me!" (However, I have had some good results with the 17-29 age range, so I do not rule them out completely as potential clients).

Those people who come to see me tend to have...

1. ...emotional problems; such as: anger, anxiety or depression, lack of confidence, low self esteem, stress, couple conflict, etc.

2. ...behavioural problems; such as: procrastination, passive-aggressive behaviour, reactivity, lack of proactivity, avoidance, submissiveness, domination, ignoring problems, escape into alcohol or drugs, and so on.

3. ...relationship problems; such as: unhappiness; growing incompatibility; verbal conflict; lack of intimacy; communication skills deficits; refusal to take responsibility; absence; coldness; judgementalism; sexual dissatisfaction; and so on.

The easiest people to help are those who know they have a problem; take responsibility for resolving it; and come to me to help them to clarify what they can do, and how to do it.

My clients come from both genders; all ethnic groups and social classes; all kinds of professions and vocations; all kinds of levels of education; and all kinds of personality types.

I advise anybody who wants to know if I could help them to make one appointment with me and check me out. We need to see if we will work well together.
